Ecohydraulics award available

The Organising Committee of the 6th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics held in Christchurch during February 2007 ended up with surplus funds of $22,000.  It was agreed that the funds be invested under the auspices of the Royal Society of New Zealand.  The funds would be administered by the Royal Society under the guidance of three appointed Trustees.
The funds will be allocated by the Trustees following a formal application and review process, in order to provide for NZers to attend and present papers at each biennial Ecohydraulics symposium.
The 9th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics is to be held in Wien, Austria during 17-21 September 2012 and the call for abstracts deadline is 9 September 2011.
We would like to invite post-graduate students to apply for this travel award by 12 August 2011.  This would allow the Trustees to assess the applications and to make their recommendations and meet the abstract submission deadline.
