We are looking to fill two positions based in the Information Directorate.
Analyst/Senior Analyst
This full-time role is permanent and based in Wellington.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Analyst or Senior Analyst with technical
expertise in freshwater to join the Science and Evaluation Team and lead New
Zealand’s contribution to the revision of the ANZECC water quality
guidelines.

The role will include working with Australian colleagues to ensure that the
guideline revision meets the needs and expectations of stakeholders. You
will have oversight for this programme of work, and be responsible for
ensuring that it supports water policy development.

We are looking for a positive, innovative, strong relationship-builder that
enjoys working in a team to achieve results. You’ll be an adept contract
manager, and have a sound understanding of the technical aspects of
freshwater management in New Zealand. With experience within central or
local government, you’ll thrive in a dynamic, regularly changing
environment and have a skill set that includes:
excellent oral and written communication
stakeholder engagement skills
strong analytical and research skills
ability to adapt to changing priorities
contract management.
Analyst
This full-time role is fixed term until the end of July 2012 and is based in
Wellington.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Analyst with an interest and background
in climate change or resource management to join the Science and Evaluation
Team. While you will be based in the Science and Evaluation Team you will
also support work for other teams across the Information Directorate.

We are looking for a positive, innovative and adaptive person that thrives
on research and analysis. You’ll love communicating in written and verbal
forms to a range of audiences. You will have some experience managing
contracts, you’ll thrive in a dynamic, regularly changing environment and
enjoy extending your existing skill base.
