New Zealand PM John Key: ‘We are 100% pure’

Here is a link to a recent interview of John Key on the BBC programme called Hardtalk.  In it, the Prime Minister embarassingly addresses the poor state of NZ’s freshwaters and is challenged by data and statements from Freshwater Ecologist Mike Joy, via the interviewer.  This is highly relevant to Freshwaters and promotes our government’s stance on this important issue.

New Zealand has for years promoted itself around the world with the slogan “100% Pure New Zealand”.

The country is often viewed as clean and green with lower levels of pollution and environmental degradation than in other parts of the world.
