This scholarship is to support postgraduate research to gain a deeper understanding of any aspect of freshwater environments in Aotearoa. The research may include fundamental or applied science, mātauranga Māori, engineering, law, economics or any other field of relevance in freshwater management and protection. The scholarship is available to Masters and Honours degree candidates, tenable for the year in which they will undertake their thesis or dissertation research. Preference will be given to applicants who have limited financial resources, who may otherwise not be able to undertake or continue post-graduate study.
