INTECOL 2021 Conference Closing
Tēnā koutou katoa,
Our first virtual conference is currently drawing to a close and last night we held our first fully virtual AGM. Although it was hugely disappointing that we didn’t get to meet in person I hope, like me, everyone who participated in the conference learnt some new knowledge to carry with them into their future study and work. Although I got very sick of the inside of my office I did enjoy the interactions in the Q and A sessions and discussion forums and it was great to see so many of you on the AGM Zoom. There was still some sense of togetherness and collaboration, despite the physical distance between us. Click here for a copy of the 2021 President’s Address.
To our conference organisers an enormous thank you, particularly Philippe and Amy who have worked very hard over the last two years to bring us a high-quality international conference. An INTECOL working party are working on wording some conference resolutions over the coming week, which NZFSS can sign up to if members support doing so. Details on the conference resolutions will be sent out to all members for your consideration once they are available.
