Student conference funding
Students who require financial assistance to attend the Waitī Waitā conference should apply here for the V.H. Jolly Conference Travel Award and should contact the Treasurer at [Enable JavaScript to view protected content] for any further financial assistance required for travel, accommodation or conference registration. The Executive Committee have agreed to release funds to assist students to attend this year’s conference. Please get your applications/requests for funding in to the Treasurer via the V.H. Jolly Conference Travel Award form ASAP - there is potential for costs to be covered up front rather than reimbursed if this is needed – applications for student financial assistance close at 5pm Tuesday 25 October.
Student conference awards
The NZFSS Student Rep Chris Meijer has been working hard with the exec team to improve the student conference awards judging process and has implemented a new feedback system which we will be trialling at this year’s conference. The aim of the system is to provide value to all students who present at conference through clear feedback from the judges for all student presentations. We will be looking for volunteers from the Society membership to judge student awards once conference registrations open on 5 October – many thanks to Sue Clearwater for volunteering to coordinate student judges this year.
