New logo for NZFSS!
Mānawatia a Matariki!
After receiving and reviewing the wide range of inputs from the membership, the Executive Committee are pleased to launch the Society’s refreshed logo and branding / style guidance.
This design represents the people, mahi and the kaupapa of NZFSS – Ngā Kohinga Wai o Aotearoa. The symbol/tohu is shaped in the form of pūhoro, representing the flow and current of all water. It is also the pattern left on water by a paddle, signifying a group of people paddling together. The wave form represents movement, innovation, and vitality. Within we also have the unaunahi, traditionally known as a pattern which represents fish scales and waters, it also symbolises how the well-being of people is dependent on the well-being of water. The different shades of blue represent different waters and alongside the wave form provides a link to the original logo in recognition of the history of NZFSS, established in 1968.
Please reach out to the exec for more information and application of the branding guidelines.
