Haere i mua whakakotahi - Moving forward as one
Our annual Freshwater Sciences Society conference awaits you 19-22 November 2024. You are invited to participate in an enriching event that celebrates the spirit of collaboration. In today’s rapidly changing world, the challenges facing freshwater ecosystems demand unified action. Through collaboration, we can weave together expertise from diverse knowledge systems to tackle these complexities head-on, paving the way for solutions with lasting impact.
Our conference theme, Haere i mua whakakotahi, underscores the pivotal role of working together in addressing the complex issues affecting our freshwater ecosystems. By fostering equitable collaboration among researchers, policymakers, tangata whenua and restoration practitioners, we aim to bring together different perspectives to foster stronger bonds and catalyse meaningful progress in freshwater science and management.
We invite presentations covering a wide range of topics, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research efforts, effective policy formulations, and present opportunities for sharing of knowledge and experiences, and resilience building.
We look forward to seeing you all at the conference!
